Training of the trainers meeting in KNUCEA, Kharkiv, Ukraine, 24-28 May

WP1: KNUCEA meeting program includes: 1. Opening session, greetings from Prof. Yuriy Shkodovskiy, Rector of KNUCEA; 2. Presentation of guests: Christoph Luchsinger - Project coordinator, Professor of TU Wien University, Thomas Dillinger - Professor of TU Wien University, Nina Mayerhofer - architect, TU Wien project coordinator, Tadej Glazar - Professor of University of Ljubljana, Anatoliy Kovrov - Rector of Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Oleg Popov - project coordinator, Vice-Rector of Odessa State Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture, Yuriy Dzigil - project coordinator, Professor  from 'Lvivska Politechnica', Konstantin Dikarev and Victor Petrenko - professors from Predneprovska Academy of Civil Engineering and Architecture. 3. Presentation of SEHSI project by Prof. Tatiana Sergeyeva, project UA coordinator (WP6); 4. Introduction of KNUCEA School of Architecture Departments: Urban Development, Fundamentals of Architecture, Architectural Heritage Preservation, Architectural Design, Innovative Technologies in Architectural Design, Painting and Drawing (WP7); 5. Presentation of innovative infrastructure developed within SEHSI project: Project management e-centre, E-training centre, E-expo centre (WP3); 6. VII International Conference “Architecture, Ecology, Innovation (crises and conflicts)”: EU and UA participants reports concerning RSD (WP2, WP3, WP6, WP7); 7. Conference feedback discussions and planning next steps (WP7); 8. Presentation of KNUCEA students project for SEHSI pilot phase and discussion (WP4); 9. Evaluation of RSD course units quality (WP5); 10. SEHSI managerial issues (WP8). 11. Program reflecting Kharkiv city and region identity (WP2, WP6, WP7) including 3 guided tours:  "Cultural-Intellectual Axis of Kharkiv" - architectural objects presented by authors belonging to KNUCEA architectural school": Myrrh-Bearing Women Cathedral, Constitutional Square, Opera House and Square of Architects presented by Sergey Chechelnitskiy, Palace of Students presented by Yuriy Shkodovskiy, Gorky Park presented by Tatiana Polivanova, "Constructivism in Kharkiv": Svobody Square, Gosprom, “Zagospromie”, Kharkiv railway station complex, Club of railway workers presented by Alexander Buriak;  "Cultural guided tour around Slobozhanshchina region" including KhTZ region (Line-city urban development concept), natural and architectural landmarks of Kharkiv area; visit to Kharkiv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre named after N. Lysenko – Concert of Virskiy folk dance group; 12. Developing Dissemination-Exploitation-Sustainability-Implementation (DESI) program concerning SEHSI WPs activities for sharing experience gained within KNUCEA meeting.

WP2: KNUCEA training package development: during KNUCEA meeting methodology of training architects within Kharkiv school was presented. EU partners estimated specificity of students drawing and sculpturing training as important for architectural education. RSD curriculum readiness and Course Units (CU) quality were analyzed. Contingency plan for completing work with CUs development for their publication in time was agreed. It was planned to publish materials for training package up to September 2016. Dissemination-Exploitation-Sustainability-Implementation (DESI) program concerning WP2 activity for sharing experience gained within KNUCEA meeting was developed.

WP3: KNUCEA infrastructure, platform and database development: during KNUCEA meeting innovative infrastructure developed within SEHSI project was presented by UA IT experts and supervisors of Module 7. Stanislav Yamnitskiy presented functions, equipment and programs used within SEHSI Project management e-centre, E-training centre, E-expo centre as well as RSD training platform used for supporting SEHSI pilot phase. Vladislav Kamynin presented Self-developing knowledge base "OMNIBase" for accumulating RSD training materials used as the resource for flexible development of the RSD course in accordance with the appeared needs as well as supplementary materials for students autonomous work including research. The problem of materials volume presented by EU and UA contributors was discussed. The problem is planned to be solved in July 2016 when "OMNIBase" is functioning via SEHSI project server. Professors Oksana Fomenko and Sergey Danilov presented students activity with 3-D facilities as well as methodology of using advanced instruments by students in their project work. Tatiana Sergeyeva presented E-expo hall activity aimed at dissemination project deliverables including advanced educational technologies. Contingency plan for uploading all RSD training and SEHSI project materials from SEHSI database and Dropbox to STVTeam platform and OMNIBase up to September 2016 was agreed. It was also planned to open some files for free access aimed at SEHSI results dissemination. The positive estimation concerns integration of e-learning components developed within the project into current training process of UA Universities that is prerequisite of SEHSI results successful dissemination and sustainability. Dissemination-Exploitation-Sustainability-Implementation (DESI) program concerning WP3 activity  for sharing experience gained within KNUCEA meeting was developed.

WP4: KNUCEA pilot phase activity: during KNUCEA meeting UA students participating in SEHSI pilot phase had opportunity to listen to the lectures concerning RSD issues delivered by EU and UA professors: "High-rise Buildings in Vienna" presented by Christoph Luchsinger - Professor of TU Wien University, "Regional Planning in a Growing Agglomeration. The Case of Vienna Region" presented by Thomas Dillinger - Professor of TU Wien University, "Territory sustainable development under condition of crises" presented in the film format by UA Professor Oksana Fomenko, "Complex Matrix as research instrument and practical tool for territory sustainable development" presented by UA Professor Sergey Danilov. There were a lot of questions to Vienna professors reflecting sincere interest of UA students and professors to Austrian partners projects. KNUCEA students presented their pilot phase project concerning Kharkiv region development to the international jury. As a result of discussion some critical remarks concerning the way of project presentation were made. International experts advised to develop students competence in project presentation. It was decided to improve and send a new presentation to the members of international jury for a final decision. In case of success it is planned to award students with international certificates justifying competence development within SENSI project.  During the meeting it was also discussed the approaching summer school in Ljubljana planned for 27th of August - 10th of September. Slovenia coordinator Tadej Glazar presented draft plan and  information materials for summer school "Paths to self-sufficiency: Ljubljana/self-sufficient city". Managerial issues were discussed and preliminary table of participants drafted. Dissemination-Exploitation-Sustainability-Implementation (DESI) program concerning WP4 activity  for sharing experience gained within KNUCEA meeting was developed.

WP5: KNUCEA evaluation activity: UA evaluation team including 2 evaluators, 2 IT experts and methodologist presented results of RSD course units (CU) quality control developed during evaluation visits to 4 UA universities in Kharkiv, Odessa, Lviv and Dnepropetrovsk. The results were presented in the formats of: 1. Tables of evaluation results of RSD CU quality; 2. Profiles of RSD CU; 3. Recommendations for RSD CU improvement; 4. Integration Table of RSD CU readiness. Сontingency plan for RSD CU completion was developed in order to meet requirements to their quality and respect schedule of their publication. Dissemination-Exploitation-Sustainability-Implementation (DESI) program concerning WP5 activity  for sharing experience gained within KNUCEA meeting was developed.

WP6: KNUCEA dissemination activity: within KNUCEA meeting International Conference "Architecture, ecology, innovation (crisis and conflicts)" took place. It was VII Science and technology conference devoted to the issues of sustainable development. The need of multydisciplinary  system understanding of the complexity of region sustainable development under condition of crises led to the relevance of the conference within SEHSI dissemination event. Presentations made by EU and UA professors - "High-rise Buildings in Vienna" by Professor Christoph Luchsinger, "Regional Planning in a Growing Agglomeration. The Case of Vienna Region" by Professor Thomas Dillinger, "Territory sustainable development under condition of crises" by Professor Oksana Fomenko, "Complex Matrix as research instrument and practical tool for territory sustainable development" by Professor Sergey Danilov - were aimed at disseminating experience in RSD as well as at prospective of research collaboration within H2020 scheme. Dissemination program  was also presented in the format of SEHSI project presentation, KNUCEA architectural school presentation, KNUCEA infrastructure presentation, STV-team platform presentation, OMNIBase presentation, 2 KNUCEA films concerning RSD presentation, 4 lectures by EU and UA partners delivery, KNUCEA students RSD project presentation. Dissemination-Exploitation-Sustainability-Implementation (DESI) program concerning WP6 activity for sharing experience gained within KNUCEA meeting was developed.

WP7: KNUCEA sustainability activity: during KNUCEA meeting SEHSI sustainability program was developed. A whole range of events were devoted to the development of RSD network by involvement in its activity representatives of Kharkiv Architectural School, Kharkiv practical architects and Chief Architect of Kharkiv. Development of KNUCEA infrastructure, platform and database, RSD training materials as well as UA partners HR were directly aimed at providing SEHSI results sustainability. Proposals for collaborative development of RSD project within H2020 scheme and RSD articles publication within SEHSI were also aimed at project results sustainability. Dissemination-Exploitation-Sustainability-Implementation (DESI) program concerning WP7 activity  for sharing experience gained within KNUCEA meeting was developed. WP8: KNUCEA coordination meeting: during KNUCEA meeting  4 bilateral meetings of Vienna coordinator with UA coordinators on financial issues took place. A whole range of issues concerning SEHSI managerial activities were solved. As a result it was developed: refreshed SEHSI travel timetable, refreshed table of RSD CU readiness, co-financial contingency plan, triple agreement for KNUCEA SEHSI publications, draft of SEHSI summer school program in Ljubljana as well as a list of potential participants of Ljubljana summer school. Dissemination-Exploitation-Sustainability-Implementation (DESI) program concerning WP8 activity  for sharing experience gained within KNUCEA meeting was developed.
